Our History and Members

 

As the medical and technological industries have propelled themselves into the mainstream and have seemly bombarded the public with information, there at the same time seems to have developed a gap. Once a patient has been given a definitive diagnosis and perhaps a recommended course of action, he is left to wonder: Is this the best course of action for me? Are there other options? Would another doctor have a different opinion? Would exposure to a different/larger/meritorious medical facility yield a different course of action?

For the past 12 years, one of the founders of this organization has been fielding and filtering medical information between patients and doctors. As a cancer survivor himself, he had not only become educated about his options of doctors, courses of action, and prognoses, but had begun mentoring people in similar situations as to what their potential options were. His workload and connections became so prodigious that another outlet was warranted. Thus, one of the reasons Medical Second Opinion Services was created.

Dennis McArthur

Dennis McArthur, Medical Advocate, has been doing medical patient advocacy for 12 years. Once a diagnosis has been made, Dennis is able to work with the patient to put together a second opinion plan.
